Inspired heavily by the Muisca People of Colombia -- Snakes were among the most frequent animals made & used as offerings (tunjos) by the Muisca people. Lakes were believed to be inhabited by mythical ancestors in the form of snakes that required offerings (tunjos). One well-known ritual during which tunjos were offered to Lake Guatavita, northern Colombia, gave rise to the famous legend of "El Dorado"
